Policy Options for Ameliorating the Shortage of Nurses on LI

The growing shortage of nurses on Long Island has created a crisis in health care. This report is based on the deliberations of a task force created to determine the origins of the shortage and devise solutions to the problem. As this is a national problem, the solutions proposed are applicable nationwide. This publication will be of interest to health care professionals and administrators.
